Ariana Colon grew up dancing at Brevard Ballet Academy, performed in Youth Company productions of The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Cinderella, and Paquita, and now teaches the next generation of Brevard County dancers.
One of the surest signs of a healthy ballet school is when its own students grow up to become its teachers. Ariana Colon is exactly that story — a proud alumna of Brevard Ballet Academy who is now a member of its teaching faculty.
Raised in the BBA Family
Ariana trained for many years under the guidance of Academy Director Elena Shokhina, building a strong foundation in classical ballet technique through the Vaganova method. During her training she performed in numerous Brevard Ballet Youth Company productions, including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Cinderella, and Paquita.
Teaching the Next Generation
Because Ariana grew up inside the academy’s program, she knows the BBA curriculum and teaching philosophy intimately. She is passionate about sharing her love of dance with young students — helping them build confidence, discipline, and a strong technical foundation in a positive, encouraging environment. Her goal is to inspire students to reach their full potential while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the art of ballet.
