The Foundation: Authentic Vaganova Technique
Serious training begins with serious technique. BBA’s program is rooted in the Vaganova method, taught by faculty who trained and performed at the highest levels — including founder Elena Shokhina, a Vaganova Ballet Academy graduate. As dancers advance, their training deepens: more hours in the studio each week, pointe work and variations, partnering, and coaching in artistry and stagecraft.
Competitions and Recognition
Pre-professional dancers test themselves on the national stage. BBA students compete at major events such as the Universal Ballet Competition (UBC) and the American Dance Competition / International Ballet Competition (ADC/IBC).
